Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8791 Hammerly

July 1, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8791 Hammerly about 7:15 p.m. last Saturday (June 29).  

The victim's identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer C. Scales and Officer T. Ferguson reported:  

The victim was found deceased inside his residence.  He had been shot several times.  Further investigation determined the victim was shot by two male suspects, who then fled the scene in separate directions.  Investigators also recovered narcotics at the scene.  At this time, the motive for the shooting is believed to be drug-related.      

The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males.
