UPDATE: Man Found Deceased at 3424 Airport Boulevard Identified

July 5, 2013 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man found deceased at 3424 Airport Boulevard on June 28.  

The victim is identified as Gerald Clark Roy, 45, of Houston.  According to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, Mr. Roy suffered a gunshot wound and was severely burned.  He died at the scene.  

HPD Homicide Division Sgt. A. Semmelrock and Officer D. Fontenot reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a possible accident involving a white pickup truck seen along a bayou near the above address.  When they saw blood inside the truck, the officers searched the area for a driver and found a fire near a wooded area.  HFD responded to the scene, extinguished the fire and found the remains of an adult male.  

An autopsy determined Roy's cause of death to be a homicide.  The investigation is continuing.
