Fatal Shooting at 1303 Greens Parkway

July 19, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man and the wounding of another at 1303 Greens Parkway about 10 p.m. on Wednesday (July 17).

Johntrwell Johnson, 30, of Houston, and Deterrion Johnson, 37, also of Houston, were both suffered taken by a private vehicle to Houston Northwest Medical Center with gunshot wounds.  Johntrwell Johnson was pronounced dead at the hospital, while Deterrion Johnson's wounds were non-life threatening.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Pool and Senior Police Officer M. Coleman reported:

Houston police officers responded to a shooting call in the parking lot of the Bristol Apartments at the above address and found no victims.  They learned two men (the Johnson brothers) had arrived at the hospital shortly after the shooting.

Further investigation determined three men met at the apartment complex where the shooting then took place.  The Johnson brothers were then taken to a hospital.

Not long after the shooting, a third man, Teriek McDonald, 30, of Houston, was involved in a minor traffic accident in the 10500 block of Verterans Memorial Boulevard and was pronounced dead at the scene.  He had also sustained gunshot wounds and his vehicle matched the description of a vehicle seen fleeing the scene of the shooting.  However, any connection McDonald may have had to the shooting incident is still unconfirmed.
