Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 100 West Cavalcade

June 5, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 100 West Cavalcade about 2:45 a.m. today (June 5). 

The victim was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant S. Murdock and Officer M. Stahlin reported: 

Guests of the Astros Inn at the above address reported hearing gunshots.  They went to investigate and found the victim lying in the grassy area between the east and westbound lanes of traffic.  The victim was then transported to the hospital.  Witnesses stated they saw the victim talking with two people in an older model white, two-door car, possibly a Buick.
