2nd UPDATE: Surveillance Video in Investigation of Female's Death at 1300 Lorraine

March 8, 2012 - Houston police have released surveillance video in the investigation into the death of a female found at 1300 Lorraine about 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 22. 

The victim, is identified as Angelica Garibay, 40, of Houston.  Her cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros and Senior Police Officer H. Chavez reported: 

Houston Fire Department firefighters responded to a grass fire in the 1900 block of Gano.  When they arrived, they extinguished a fire in the back of a vacant washateria at the above address.  After extinguishing the fire, HFD personnel found Ms. Garibay's body beneath a piece of plywood.  She was badly burned and pronounced dead at the scene. 

Surveillance video of Ms. Garibay walking alone near the intersection of Chapman and Lorraine and then meeting up with an unknown male in the same area can be viewed at the HPD YouTube Channel at https://youtu.be/zhZ9-6aAB5w.  Investsigators believe Garibay had just left the "Castillos Bar"  in the 1400 block of Lorraine.
