Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5350 West Gulf Bank

March 13, 2012 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one man, a juvenile suspect and wounding of a second suspect at 5350 West Gulf Bank about 5:10 p.m. on Tuesday (March 12). 

The deceased male victim, 23, of the above address, was transported to Houston Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The juvenile male suspect, 15, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  The identities of both individuals are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A third male suspect, 19, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Cegielski and Senior Police Officer D. Arnold reported: 

The victim and two family members returned home in their vehicle when they were approached by the two suspects, along with at least one other unidentified black male suspect.  The suspects then fired several shots into the vehicle, striking the victim.  Investigators believe the victim returned fire, striking at least two of the suspects. 

The other family members inside the vehicle were not injured.
