March 25, 2012 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2200 Bingle about 11:10 p.m. last Saturday (March 23).

A male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  A female passenger was transported to a local hospital with serious, but non life-threatening injuries.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant C. Nickerson and Officer J. Morales reported:

The victim was operating a Gold Harley-Davidson motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on Bingle when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck a curb.  Both he and the female passenger were ejected from the motorcycle, killing him and injuring her.  

The investigation is continuing.
