Composite Sketch of Suspect Wanted in Sexual Assault at 2750 Wallingford

May 24, 2013 - Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in the sexual assault of an elderly female at 2750 Wallingford on May 14. 

The suspect is described only as a black male in his early 30s.  He is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with a slim build and muscular shoulders, a thin moustache and a goatee.  He wore plaid green shorts, a black T-shirt, a blue do-rag and carried a green back pack.  A composite sketch of the wanted suspect is attached to this news release.  

Just after midnight on May 14, the female, 67, heard a knock on her door. When she answered, the suspect forced his way into her apartment.  The suspect then struck the victim with his hand and sexually assaulted her. 

Investigators believe the suspect may live in the apartment complex or nearby. 

Anyone with information on the suspect's identity is urged to contact the HPD Special Crimes Division at 713-308-1180 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. 

At 10 a.m. TODAY (Friday, May 25), an investigator in the HPD Special Crimes Division will be available to answer questions regarding this investigation in the first floor Media Briefing Room at HPD Headquarters at 1200 Travis.
