Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 2727 Fondren

May 28, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 2727 Fondren about 3:05 a.m. on Saturday (May 25).

The victim, Alexander Arias-Labrada, 36, suffered multiple gun shot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Officer M. Burrow reported:

The victim and an unknown suspect got into a fist fight inside Elvia's Night Club at the above address and were both told to leave.  A short time later, the fighting resumed outside the club, which led to the victim being knocked unconscious.  While he was incapacitated, the suspect drove up to him and shot the victim in the back multiple times.  The suspect then got back into the vehicle, described as a light colored SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Equinox, with Texas license plates beginning with BN2.  The suspect's vehicle was also followed before and after the shooting by a light colored Ford Expedition with after-market chrome rims.

The suspect is described only as a Hispanic male, approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall, and 20 to 30 years of age.  He is described as clean-shaven with short black hair and possibly has minor injuries from the fight.  He was also accompanied by two other Hispanic males of similar age and build, one of whom had with a goatee on his chin.
