November 8, 2013 - Houston police have arrested a suspect charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 7116 Avenue B about 9:25 p.m. on Tuesday (Nov. 5).

The suspect, Reymundo H. Garcia (H/m, DOB: 11-29-48), is charged with capital murder in the 179th State District Court.  He is accused in the death of Ernest Ybarra, 51, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  A photo of Garcia is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant C. Howard and Officer R. Lujan reported:

HPD patrol officers were called to the above location and found the victim dead.  Mr. Ybarra had suffered multiple gun shot wounds.  

Further investigation identified Garcia as a suspect in this case and, on Thursday (Nov. 7), he was arrested without incident.
