Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6410 Martin Luther King Boulevard

September 18, 2013 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6410 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday (Sept. 17).

The victim, Christopher McGrew, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants T. Biggs and J. Rhoads reported:

Mr. McGrew was eating at the Subway restaurant at the above address when two males entered, armed with pistols.  After robbing the store, they attempted to check McGrew for valuables.  McGrew began struggling with the suspects and then gunshots were fired.  Employees who ran out of the restaurant during the shooting returned to find McGrew dead.  The suspects had fled the scene.
