Update: Victim Identified in Fatal Shooting at 6009 Bellaire Boulevard

April 7, 2014 - Houston police have learned the identity of a man fatally shot at 6009 Bellaire Boulevard about 4:20 a.m. on March 29.

Amiliar Portillo, also known as "Chino," 26, of El Salvador, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Rodriguez and Senior Police Officer D. Shorten reported:

Mr. Portillo was found lying in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address. A witness reported hearing several gunshots, walked outside and found him lying in the parking lot. The witness attempted to provide medical assistance, but Portillo was pronounced deceased by HFD personnel. A preliminary investigation determined Portillo was last seen at the "Caribe Sports Bar," across the street from the above address, prior to the shooting.
