Investigation into Man's Body Found at 700 North San Jacinto

August 4, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the death of a man found at 700 North San Jacinto about 1:45 p.m. on Saturday (August 2).

The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant E. Cisneros reported:

A University of Houston Downtown student was walking from the school to her vehicle when she noticed what appeared to be a body floating in Buffalo Bayou. The student alerted University of Houston Police, who verified it was a male's body in the bayou and contacted HPD. The Homicide Division responded to the scene. No identification was found on the male nor were there any signs that would suggest foul play. The investigation is pending autopsy results by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
