Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 101 Winkler

August 20, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a male at 101 Winkler about 11:10 p.m. on Sunday (August 17).

The suspect, Tony Gonzales (H/m, 51), is charged with murder in the 174th State District Court. A photo of Gonzales is not available at this time, pending further investigation.

The male victim suffered multiple stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeans K. Meek and T. Simmons reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a call for service at the above address. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim between two vehicles. Officers then conducted a search of the area and found a vehicle with blood in it. The vehicle's owner (suspect Gonzales) was located nearby and he was detained at the scene.

Further investigation identified Gonzales as a suspect in this case and he was subsequently charged with murder.
