Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 1200 Magnolia Lane

August 25, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 1200 Magnolia Lane about 11:25 a.m. on Saturday (August 23).

The male victim, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant K. Harris and Officer Heaverlo reported:

The driver of a gray Volkswagon Jetta was traveling westbound on Magnolia and failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign at the intersection of Forest Cove. The Volkswagon struck a Ford F-150 pickup truck traveling southbound on Forest Cove and then struck a black Harley Davidson motorcycle, also traveling southbound on Forest Cove. The Ford then skidded, flipped and came to a stop facing northbound on Forest Cove. The operator of the Harley Davidson died at the scene.

No charges have been filed at this time. The investigation is continuing.
