Update: Suspect Arrested, Children Found Unharmed in Kidnapping Incident at 8601 West Bellfort

August 27, 2014 - A suspect wanted in an auto theft and kidnapping of four children at 8601 West Bellfort about 6:15 p.m. today (August 27) is in custody and the children have been found unharmed.

HPD homicide investigators, in coordination with the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office and Harris County Precinct 5 deputy constables, located the suspect, children and stolen vehicle at 22300 Cinco Ranch Boulevard in Fort Bend County about 9:15 p.m. today.

Officers responded to a stolen vehicle call at the Jack in the Box restaurant at the above address and discovered the vehicle taken was used as a daycare transportation vehicle for JTD Transportation. The female driver went inside the restaurant, leaving the GMC sport utility vehicle running with four children, ages 3 through 6 years of age, inside the vehicle.

The stolen vehicle was a silver, 2009 GMC Acadia with Texas license plates DCN8277.
Investigators are at the scene on Cinco Ranch Boulevard at this time.
