Help Sought in Identifying Suspect in Fatal Shooting at 9678 Azeem

December 26, 2014 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 9678 Azeem about 11:30 p.m. on September 28, 2014.

The suspect is described only as a black male, 16 to 20 years of age.

The victim, Siryon Ishmael, 58, of the above address, was transported to an area hospital and pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Simmons and Officers J. Horn and S. Overstreet reported:

Mr. Ishmael's roommate heard him come home and then heard a gunshot. The roommate found Ishmael lying on the floor to the entrance to the home with a gunshot wound. A neighbor, while inside her room, reported hearing shouting and someone demanding money prior to the shooting.
