The victim, Rosa Marcos-Nava, 27, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers B. Evans and T. Andrade reported:

Ms. Marcos-Nava and her boyfriend went to the residence of her boyfriend's friend at the above address.  Marcos-Nava consumed large quantities of alcohol while her boyfriend and his friend ate dinner.  Marcos-Nava complained of feeling dizzy and was helped to a nearby bedroom where she was placed face down on the bed.  About 30 minutes later, the boyfriend went to check on her and found an unknown discharge coming from her nose and mouth.

Marcos-Nava was then moved to the living room of the residence as her boyfriend attempted to find Marcos-Nava's friend to drive her back to her residence.  The boyfriend returned from picking up Marcos-Nava's friend, re-entered the apartment and found Marcos-Nava face down, cold to the touch and with an additional unknown discharge coming from her nose and mouth.  HFD paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced Marcos-Nava deceased.
