Investigator into Shooting of Man at 7900 Ellinger Lane

January 17, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the shooting a man and the sexual assault of a woman in the 7900 block of Ellinger Lane about 7:45 p.m. on Thursday (Jan. 16).

The male victim, 35, was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.  The adult female victim was also transported to an area hospital for treatment.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Parker and Senior Police Officer S. Straughter reported:

The victims had just returned home and were unloading their vehicle when they were suddenly approached by an unknown suspect who demanded their money.  The couple was then forced inside their residence at gunpoint where the male resident was shot and the female sexually assaulted.  The suspect then fled in the couple's vehicle and abandoned it about 50 feet away from the garage.  

The suspect is described only as a white or Hispanic male.
