Investigation into Deaths of Two Males at 3210 Florida

June 9, 2014 - Houston police are awaiting autopsy results in the deaths of two males following a fire at 3210 Florida about 1:05 a.m. on Saturday (June 7).

One male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. A second male suffered severe burns and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. Their identities are pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Garcia and Officer C. Cardenas reported:

A male resident awoke at the above address and saw the residence on fire. He then attempted to extinguish it. Upon failing to do so, he fled the residence with minor injuries. Another male resident was unable to flee and died at the scene. A third resident was able to escape the burning residence, but suffered severe burns and died at an area hospital.

At this time, there are no signs of foul play.
