Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 5801 North Houston Rosslyn

June 9, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of one male and the wounding of another at 5801 North Houston Rosslyn about 9:50 p.m. on Saturday (June 7).

The male was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant K. Tolls and Senior Police Officer T. Tyler reported:

Two males were walking through the Retreat on Rosslyn Apartments when they were confronted by a male suspect armed with a gun. The suspect fired at both males, killing one and wounding the other. The wounded male was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his wounds. His condition is unavailable at this time.
