March 6, 2014 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8607 Friendship about 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday (March 5).

The victim, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. McStravick and Senior Police Officer B. Evans reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address where a female had reportedly shot her male roommate with a shotgun.  HFD paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

The female was detained at the scene and later questioned by HPD homicide investigators.  

No charges have been filed at this time as the investigation is continuing.
