Public's Assistance Sought in Missing Person's Investigation

November 12, 2014 - Investigators are seeking information regarding the disappearance of a man last seen at 11923 Hunkler Drive about 12:15 a.m. on August 29.

Rodrick Darnell Cassell, 24, of Houston, has not been seen since that time and was traveling in a 2007 black Toyota Camry with Texas license plates #CTS-3800.  A photo of Mr. Cassell is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Chavez and Officer R. Lujan reported:

On Friday, August 29, Cassell left the residence he shares with his girlfriend at about midnight and stated he was going to visit friends at the above address.  His friends stated he was at their residence on Hunkler a short time and left about 12:15 a.m.  After Cassell's girlfriend had not heard from him for several hours and had not been able to contact him by phone, she called additional family members.  Family members said it is unusual for Cassell, a former U.S. Marine, to be gone for any length of time without contacting his girlfriend or his family.  Additional investigation into his missing vehicle has also not produced any leads.
