November 17, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a female wanted in the fatal stabbing of a man at 14120 South Post Oak at 8:45 p.m. on Friday (November 15).

The suspect, Sharon Denise Phillips (b/f, 35) is charged with murder in the 339th State District Court.  A photo of Phillips is attached to this news release.

She is accused in the stabbing death of Brandon D. Andrews, 25, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Sergeant K. Tolls and Officer T. Tyler reported:

Mr. Andrews, his father and his daughter went to a convenience store at the above address to make a purchase.  When Andrews' father went inside to make the purchase, Andrews was confronted by his girlfriend, Phillips, and they began to argue.  According to witnesses, the argument escalated, and, at some point,  Phillips produced a knife and stabbed Andrews in the chest multiple times.

Andrews then got into his car, along with his father and daughter, and attempted to drive himself to the hospital.  Andrews drove a few yards and then collapsed behind the wheel, crashing the car.  Neither Andrews' daughter nor his father were injured in the accident.  Phillips then fled the scene as a passenger in a gold, older-model Buick sedan.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Phillips, or the unknown driver of the Buick, is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
