Fatal Traffic Accident at 19000 Glenwest

October 29, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 19000 Glenwest about 10 p.m. on Tuesday (Oct. 28).

The male victim, 20, was transported to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant I. Izaguirre and Officer M. Reyes reported:

The victim was operating a black Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R motorcycle at a high rate of speed southbound on Glenwest when he failed to maintain a single lane and struck the median curb. The victim was thrown from the motorcycle into the middle of the street. A motorist driving by observed the male lying in the roadway and called 9-1-1. Responding paramedics then transported him to the hospital.

No other vehicles or motorists were involved in the accident.
