Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 2600 Genoa Red Bluff

September 2, 2014 - Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in the 2600 block Genoa Red Bluff about 9:45 p.m. on Saturday (August 30).  

The identity of the deceased victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  



HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant T. Trometer and Officer J. Best reported:  



The victim was driving a black Range Rover sport utility vehicle westbound on Genoa Red Bluff and failed to stay in a single lane.  The vehicle crossed over the median into oncoming traffic and struck a silver Mercedes.  The driver of the Range Rover died at the scene.  The driver of the Mercedes was transported to an area hospital with a leg injury.  



The investigation is continuing.
