Composite Sketch of Suspect Wanted in Robbery Investigation

September 9, 2014 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect wanted in the shooting of a man during a robbery at 215 West Little York Road about 12:35 a.m. on July 24.  

The suspect is described only as a black male in his early 20s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a thin build, wearing a gray hoodie.  A composite sketch of the wanted suspect is attached to this news release.  

The victim, 46, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.  He survived his injuries and was later released.  

The victim returned home from work and was exiting his vehicle in the parking lot of the apartment complex at the above address when the suspect approached him.  The victim, who spoke only Spanish, told police the suspect spoke to him in English and he did not understand his demands.  The suspect then pulled out a pistol and shot the victim.  The suspect then took the man's car keys and cell phone, got into the man's vehicle and fled the scene.  The victim was then taken by responding HFD paramedics to the hospital.
