Investigation into Man Found Deceased at 7200 Longview

September 22, 2014 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 5875 Westover about 9:10 p.m. on Saturday (September 20).

The suspect, Standrick Adams (b/m, 48) is charged with murder in the 228th State District Court.  A photo of Adams is not available at this time.  He is accused in the killing of his brother, Jesse Adams, 44, of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant T. Ruland and Police Officers T. Colbert and C. Hogue reported:

The two men lived at the above residence with their mother.  Saturday evening, the brothers began arguing.  When the argument escalated, Standrick Adams produced a gun and shot his brother, Jesse, once in the chest.  Jesse Adams was pronounced dead at the scene.  Standrick Adams was then arrested at the scene without incident.
