Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9500 Jensen



December 7, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 9500 Jensen about 11:10 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 5).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers M. Coleman and T. Tyler reported:

The victim, known to sleep outside the business at the above address, was lying on the sidewalk when he was approached by a group of three to five black males driving in a white 1995-2005, four-door car with a black hood and black rear bumper.  One or more suspects then shot the victim and fled the scene.  Several witnesses attempted to follow the suspects' vehicle, but discontinued when the suspects began firing shots at them.  No witnesses were injured.  Paramedics transported the victim to LBJ General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

The motive in the shooting is unknown at this time.
