Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 8014 Grandview



December 28, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a man at 8014 Grandview about 10:45 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 26).

The suspect, Eric Minor (b/m, 50), is charged with murder in the 177th State District Court.  A photo of Minor is not available at this time.

The victim, Larry Moland, 58, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Daignault and J. Horn reported:

Both men were guests at the above address.  While playing cards in the garage, the two began arguing.  The argument then escalated into a physical confrontation.  Following the fight,Minor, went to his next door residence to retrieve a pistol.  He then returned to the above address and shot Mr. Moland at least one time.  

Minor was detained at the scene and subsequently charged with Moland's death.
