Suspect Arrested, Charged in Triple Homicide at 876 Strey Lane #573

February 4, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the deaths of a man, woman and child found at 876 Strey Lane about 9:25 a.m. on Monday (February 2).

The suspect, Isaac Tiharihondi (b/m, 19), is charged with two counts of capital murder in the 179th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his parents, Israel Ahimbisibwe, 51, Dorcus Ahimbisibwe, 47, and Israel Ahimbisibwe, Jr., 5, of the above address. Their causes of death are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer T. Tyler and Officer M. Coleman reported:

On Monday (Feb. 2), Israel, Dorcus and Israel, Jr. were found deceased inside their apartment at the above address. Their manner and cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Further investigation developed information that led to Tiharihondi's whereabouts in Jackson, Mississippi. With the assistance of the FBI in Houston and Jackson, Mississippi, Tiharihondi was taken into custody about 2:30 a.m. today (Feb. 4) by agents and task force officers without incident. He remains detained in the Hinds County Detention Center in Raymond, Mississippi, awaiting extradition back to Harris County in coming days.

The investigation is continuing.
