Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6118 Clarewood

February 9, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting at 6118 Clarewood Drive about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday (Feb. 7).

The victim, Jorge Amador, 42, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where, on Sunday (Feb. 8), he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Senior Police Officer J. Villareal reported:

Mr. Amador and his wife, owners of the Riccy Beauty Salon, were locking up the business for the evening when they were approached by two masked males armed with guns. The suspects pointed a gun at the woman and demanded money. When one of the suspects pushed the woman to the ground, Amador tried to defend his wife and was shot. The suspects then fled the scene in a gray or white four-door car, possibly a Toyota Corolla.

The suspects are described only as a Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and a black male, 25-30 years old, also 5 feet 10 inches tall. Both suspects were dressed all in black.
