Update: Victims Identified in Fatal Shooting at 7925 F. M. 1960

February 13, 2015 - Houston police have learned the identities of a woman fatally shot and another wounded at 7925 F. M. 1960 about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday (February 11).

Charlotte Ellis, 68, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her daughter, Damitra Ellis, 45, was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in an unknown condition.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Rhoads and Officer R. Ridel reported:

Charlotte and Demitra Ellis were sitting inside Charlotte's truck in the parking lot of Willowbrook Mall at the above address. At some point, both women were shot. Charlotte Ellis died at the scene and Demitra was transported to the hospital.

A male has been detained for questioning, however no charges have been filed at this time, as the investigation is continuing.
