Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4200 Mallow

January 5, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4200 Mallow about 11 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 3).

The victim, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants J. Burton and M. Brady reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address.  Upon arrival, they found the victim lying in the street, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.  HFD personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the man dead.  Witnesses reported the victim and an unknown black male were involved in a disturbance prior to the shooting.  After witnesses heard the gunshots, they saw the black male flee on foot.
