Investigation into Stabbing at 2121 Main

January 21, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the stabbing of a man at 2121 Main about 6:50 p.m. on Tuesday (Jan. 20).

The victim, Bennie Finister, 49, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition with stab wounds to his lower abdomen.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant N. Ruland reported:

Mr. Finister and a black male suspect, known only as "Atlanta," began arguing at the Greyhound Bus station at the above address.  The argument became physical and, during the fight, "Atlanta" stabbed Finister with an unknown weapon.  "Atlanta" then fled the scene on foot.
