Suspect Sought in Fatal Shooting Investigation at 8250 Park Place


July 15, 2015 - Houston police have released surveillance photos of a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 8250 Park Place about 3:35 a.m. today (July 15).

Two surveillance photos of the suspect are attached to this news release.

The identity of the victim, 55, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Waters reported:
The victim was working as a security officer for the apartment complex at the above address when he was shot by an unknown suspect.  Officers were called and found the victim lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.  The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Investigators obtained surveillance photos of the suspect.  He is described only as black male, believed to be in his 20s or early 30s.  He was wearing a San Francisco Giants baseball cap, a red shirt with an unknown emblem on the front, and was carrying a black backpack. The suspect was seen smoking a Tiparillo cigar.
