Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8162 Richmond


July 20, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man that occurred at 8162 Richmond about 11:30 p.m. last Friday (July 17).

The identity of the male victim, 40, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Burton and Senior Police Officer S. Spivey reported:

The victim was at home in his apartment, at the above address, when there was a knock on his door.  The suspect, described only as a black male, entered and began shooting.  The victim received multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  At least two other males inside the apartment also sustained non-life threatening gun shot wounds and were transported to area hospitals.  The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
