Suspect Arrested, Charged in Child's Death at 11810 Algonquin

June 23, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the death of a child found unresponsive at 11810 Algonquin about 2 p.m. on Sunday (June 21).


The suspect, Usbaldo Franco (H/m, 27), is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court for his role in the death of Jordan Aragon, 4, of the above address. A photo of suspect Franco is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Jewell and Officer T.S. Miller reported:

The victim was rushed to Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital with multiple injuries to his chest and stomach. Upon arrival, he was unresponsive. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

Further investigation led to the identity of Franco as the suspect in this case and he was arrested on Monday (June 22) without incident. The victim was the son of Franco's live-in girlfriend.
