March 26, 2014 - The fatal shooting of a male at 2001 Bering Drive at 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday (March 25) will be referred to a Harris County grand jury.

The identity of the male victim, 30, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers R. Klementich and T. Colbert reported:

Officers responded to a shooting call at a condominium complex the above address and found the victim deceased in the living room.  The condo owner admitted to officers he shot the victim in self-defense.  According to witnesses, a disturbance was heard between the victim and suspect moments prior to the shooting.
