Investigation into Fatal Crash at 8600 Bissonnet
October 23, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a crash that occurred at 8600 Bissonnet about 10:15 p.m. on Wednesday (Oct. 22) in which a juvenile suspect has been charged.
The male suspect, 16, has been referred to Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on the charge of intoxication manslaughter.
The suspect is accused in the death of his passenger. The identity of the male victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant J. Roque and Officer M. Rios reported:
The suspect was driving a green Honda Accord at a high rate of speed westbound in the 8600 block of Bissonnet when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. The victim, a passenger in the front seat, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and a second passenger were both transported to Ben Taub General Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
