Investigation into Fatal Stabbing at 8370 North Houston Rosslyn



October 26, 2015 - Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 8370 North Houston Rosslyn about 3:25 a.m. on Saturday (Oct. 24).

The victim, Jose Arturo Sanchez-Saavedra, 54, of Katy, was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Waters II reported:

A security guard at a sports bar at the above address observed a Hispanic male running between vehicles in the parking lot, across the porch of a vacant restaurant, get into a bronze-colored car and then flee the scene northbound on North Houston Rosslyn.

The guard then checked the area and discovered Mr. Sanchez-Saavedra lying on the ground between two parked cars.  He then called 911.  Evidence at the scene indicates Sanchez-Saavedra was sitting in the driver's seat of his car when he was stabbed.

The suspect is described only as an Hispanic male, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.  He was wearing a light-colored long sleeve shirt with a dark-colored stripe on the middle of the sleeves, a cap of some kind and sagging pants.
