Suspect Charged, Wanted in Man's Death at 8900 Irvington



October 26, 2015 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the death of a man found at 8900 Irvington about 9:05 a.m. on Sunday (October 25). 

The suspect, Charles Everett Walton (b/m, 42), is charged with murder in the 176th State District Court.  He is accused in the killing of Abraham Soto, 45, of Houston.  Soto's cause and manner of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Elsbury and Senior Police Officer R. Martinez reported:  

HPD patrol officers responded to a person down call at the above address.  A witness called 9-1-1 and told officers Walton admitted to killing Mr. Soto.  A preliminary investigation and evidence from the scene were consistent with witness statements and a murder charge was filed on Walton.
