Investigation into Fatal Crash at 3200 West Loop South

September 16, 2015 - Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash at 3200 West Loop South (West Interstate Highway 610 South) service road about 6:30 a.m. today (September 16).  

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer K. Tran reported:  

The victim, a pedestrian, was crossing the service road of the West Loop near Richmond when she was struck by a green Infinity sport utility vehicle. According to witnesses, the driver of the vehicle reportedly stopped, exited the vehicle and then got back in the SUV and drove off.
