Person of Interest Sought in Fatal Shooting at 11204 Hempstead Highway


April 7, 2016 - Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest wanted for questioning in the fatal shooting of a man at 11204 Hempstead Highway about 2:05 a.m. today (April 7).  

The individual is described only as a light-skinned Hispanic male wearing a red hoodie.  He was driving a red four-door vehicle of unknown make or model.  He is believed to sell narcotics in the area and is known as "Perico" (parrot in Spanish).  Surveillance photos of the person of interest are attached to this news release.   

The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.  His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. A. Holbrook and Senior Police Officer J. Roscoe reported: 

The victim walked up to the front door of Cindy's Night Club at the above address.  He was approached by a male suspect who became angry and, at some point, pointed a gun at and fatally shot the victim.
