Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 4409 Dowling
December 20, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 4409 Dowling about 1:45 a.m. on Monday (Dec. 19).
The victim, Untorio Japelle Jones, 39, of Houston, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Sergeant H. Garcia and Officer K. McDonald reported:
Mr. Jones was inside the D-Bar nightclub at the above address when he and another male began arguing. During the argument, the suspect produced a pistol from his waistband and fired multiple times at Jones, who died at the scene.
The suspect then fled the scene. He is described only as black male with a medium build and possibly with dreadlocks.
