Suspect Charged, Wanted in Fatal Shooting at 3826 Rosemont



February 2, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a man and woman at 3826 Rosemont about 5 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 1).

The suspect, Patrick J. Denton (b/m, 48) is charged with capital murder in the 208th State District Court.  He is not in custody.  A previous photo (2013) of Denton is attached to this news release.

The victims are identified as Nicholas Copeland, 27, and Tina Carter, 38, both of the above address.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant R. Olive and Officer S. Sylvester reported:

Witnesses told investigators Denton entered the victims' home and fatally shot them.  Denton then fled the scene and has not been apprehended.
