Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Stabbing at 2600 Post Oak Boulevard



February 12, 2016 - Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man at 2600 Post Oak Boulevard about 9:15 p.m. on Thursday (Feb. 11).

The suspect, Andre Roy (b/m, 35), is charged with capital murder in the 185th State District Court.  

The identity of the victim, 61, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers D. Crowder and T. Colbert reported:

The victim was walking on a sidewalk at the above address when he was stabbed multiple times by Roy during an attempted robbery. Paramedics transported the victim to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.  A witness detained the suspect until police officers arrived and took him into custody.
