February 23, 2016 - A suspect wanted and charged in the fatal shooting of a man at 11900 Bellaire Boulevard about 8:55 p.m. on December 13, 2006 has been arrested.

The suspect, Happy Tran Pham (A/m, 30), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court.

Pham is accused in the killing of Pierre Mai, 29, who was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer B. Nabors reported:

Mr. Mai was dining at the Cajun Kitchen restaurant with friends at the above address when an unknown male entered the restaurant, pulled out a weapon and shot him. As the suspect fled the restaurant, an employee retrieved a pistol and followed him on foot. The suspect pointed his weapon at the employee, who then shot at the suspect numerous times as he fled on foot.
