Investigation into Man's Death at 2520 Winrock



February 26, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the death of a man at 2520 Winrock #49 about 9:40 p.m. on Thursday (February 25).  

The victim, Jeremiah Mims, 60, of the above address, was pronounced dead at the scene.  His cause of death is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.  

HPD Homicide Division Officers M. Arrington and C. Sharp reported:  

A family member of Mr. Mims' stopped by his apartment at the above address after not having seen or heard from him in three or four days.  Mims was found deceased inside the apartment.  There were no apparent signs of forced entry, but it appeared the apartment had been searched.  

At this time, there are no known witnesses nor suspects.
