Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 6500 Martin Luther King Boulevard


January 12, 2016 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 6500 Martin Luther King Boulevard about 9:05 p.m. last Thursday (Jan. 7).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Officers K. Winningham and C. Liu reported:

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at a gas station at the above address and learned there was a disturbance between the victim and an unknown Hispanic male.  The victim was shot and transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

One male was detained for questioning and then released with no charges filed at this time.
